Orange is fairly new to me so I don't have any testimonies about it, mine or others. I will say this, I love the way it smells and my daughter hates it. Which goes to show you that not all the oils smell equally good to everyone.
I can't even find my bottle of it right now, which makes me wonder if our two yr old ran off with it. He loves the oils and knows how to get the caps off, so when he sees his chance he'll take what he can sneak and go hide somewhere with it. Pours it all over himself. He wasn't too happy when he did that with the Defense. It has cinnamon oil in it so it can get rather warm. We neutralized it with a messenger oil. He was fine.
This is what I've learned about Orange oil. It is good for the digestion. Antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, does that surprise you? Also, antidepressant, antispasmodic, lymphatic stimulant and digestive tonic.
My book says it's relaxing, balancing, sensual, and warming. Helps with sadness, self-consciousness, anxiety and nervousness.
Evidently it's very good for the skin. Helps with cellulite, dry skin, aging skin, rough skin, callous skin, and skin with poor circulation.
Can be used in cooking.
Lemon and orange work in harmony. Lemon is the masculine, supplying energy that aids concentration and refreshes the spirit. Orange represents feminine powers, strengthening heart and soul and making us feel as if we want to hug the world.
The only warning is that sensitive skin may become irritated when exposed to the sun. I've never experienced this with any of the oils but it's something to keep in mind.
Keep it fresh. Keep it fun.
